I sincerely love what I do; I love the people I coach and the people in our community. But this isn’t about me.
The best way to share is through the voices of the people who’ve felt the impact. Here’s what they’ve experienced in our work together.
What I enjoyed most about my sessions is Erica’s unique body-inclusive approach. She was always cognizant of how things were feeling for MY body – she didn’t push me into anything that was painful or uncomfortable. Her sessions were balanced and realistic. I left feeling energized – like I had done a good workout, not ran a marathon! I would recommend Erica’s sessions to anyone looking for a truly accepting personal training experience!

Since starting our work together, I’ve noticed changes in my sleeping, breathing, and desire to move my body in ways that I haven’t tried in years. What stands out most is that I am actually tuning in to my body & noticing signs that it’s communicating to me, that it wants to add movement into my day. For the first time in my life, I am not engaging in the classic “all or nothing” framework. Instead, I respond with gentle curiosity, openness, and nurture. I’ll try gentle squats at the counter, push-ups off the stairs, or seated arm movements — options in my immediate environment that are available in that moment without thinking too much about it. Thank you, Erica, for your never-waning acceptance of me and my journey, your passion for collaborative goals, honoring what my body CAN do and FEELS like doing in the moment, and the ways in which you encourage gentle attunement and invitations that teach me how to accommodate my body’s needs so seamlessly. I am learning the true practice of intuitive movement through nuance, versatility, and possibility — how to adjust and modify in ways fostering a deep self-respect & understanding of my worth and capabilities. Our weekly sessions are filled with therapeutic benefits — like a breath of fresh air! - Katie S.
I started to work with Erica when my therapist recommended her as a good HAES (Health at Every Size) fitness instructor. During our time working together, I noticed an improvement in my consistency with movement, without feeling like I was forcing it. I felt extremely supported working with Erica and really appreciated her flexibility and preparation when it came to her coaching style. I also noticed this experience felt different compared to other fitness or movement spaces I’ve been in because I did a lot more listening to my body and mind. I would absolutely recommend others to work with Erica; she put effort into meeting my needs and made me feel cared for as an individual. - Kelsey L
Working with Erica for personal training has been so refreshing, and so beneficial for both my body and mental health. Erica has helped me to feel more energized, stronger, and more confident in my body. Erica's approach has helped me move my body in ways that feel good and isn't focused on performance or a number. She focuses on encouragement, education, and support--I never feel any shame, pressure, or judgment. I highly recommend working with Erica! - Abby M.
I got a clarity moment of the movement we do together; it’s joyful. That’s the only point. For now. Forever? I’m not setting any other goal (for strength, length, etc.). I just want embodiment. Joyfully. I know this might not come as news to you, since we’ve been doing this since we started, right? But it’s a mindshift. A letting go of old remnants. - Jen B.
I have been taking a weekly class to increase my mobility and even just after 5 classes, I have noticed walking is easier. Doing errands, I find I am less out of breath. I had a mammogram (loving reminder: get your mammograms!) it was at a hospital. The clinic was a bit of a walk and I was intimidated. BUT! I walked the whole way there with a lot less pain than normal and I was not out of breath! I know this is because of your classes!
30 minutes is accessible for me, and I can be on mute, so even when I am complaining or moaning and groaning, it is totally ok :) - Gabbi H.
Today was an incredibly frazzley day at work, and as it was finally starting to calm down, I found myself thinking "I have class with Erica in the morning and I'm really looking forward to that."
Which feels...pretty huge, honestly. Because for way too many years, "exercise" was something I did to punish my body in an attempt to make it smaller, to the point that I don't even like the word (those scarequotes are real). I turn 50 this year, and it's only been within the past few years that I've found gentle, accessible, weight-neutral fitness classes that turn movement into something I do because it settles my brain and makes my body feel better.
So this evening, as my brain is in desperate need of settling, I can honestly say: I have class with Erica in the morning and I'm really looking forward to that. - Hollie B.
Thank you for showing up, sharing your time, and representing larger bodies in the fitness world. Your session brought me more peace than anything else all week. I’ve struggled with exercise for most of my life going all the way back to my first fitness test in 1st grade. I’ve never been naturally coordinated or good at sports. What surprised me most during our session was the wave of emotion that came up; it caught me off guard. But once the movement portion began, something shifted. I got out of my head and into my body, simply following along. In that moment, I felt a sense of peace, which is something I didn’t realize I’d been missing so much. Your session was a much-needed reminder that movement can be grounding and healing without leaving me sore or overwhelmed afterward. And finally, I want to say how meaningful it was to see a woman with a body that looks like mine leading the session. Representation matters. – Cheryl S.
I have struggled with all or nothing thinking for decades. Your videos and posts are helping me with that. Seeing someone in a body closer to my own, exercising and moving to feel better, and not for intentional weight loss – is so empowering. So, THANK YOU again. – Deb S.
I have been doing your quick lower body workout for almost a month now. I am in my mid fifties. I’ve made so many positive changes at a time in life when they are harder than ever. I would love to go join a barre class but I am simply not ready. Your workouts are a Godsend because they are DOABLE and that means I am able to do them CONSISTENTLY! With time and persistence they will help me gain strength, flexibility and mobility I could not get if I tried walking straight into an exercise class at a gym. I can do them when I want and where I want and I know I can always increase reps or add modifications if I feel ready. Ignore the critics – they just don’t get it. THANK YOU for giving those of us who need it a way to ease into making fitness a daily part of our lives that we can maintain. You are the best! – Heather S.
Welcome to a safe and fun space. We laugh, we cry, we share, we learn…it’s a great place!! Erica does an amazing job of fostering positivity and realness in a judge free zone. – Danielle C.(welcoming a new member to the private community)
Just finished my first session with Erica and it was amazing. Weights, lunges, stretches! It got me moving and I’m so excited for the next one! She modified some stuff for me b/c your girl is 43 and things ache. I just needed a kick start and I know this was it!! Thanks Erica. – Danielle C.
